There aren’t a lot of financing options available to American and Canadian buyers. Foreign buyers may be able to obtain some financing (typically for about half of the purchase price for a period of five, sometime ten years) from developers when condos and homes are in the pre-sale phase. There are also some third-party lenders that will offer longer-term financing for Mexican properties to foreign buyers; however, interest rates are higher than in the United States.
